About EKOEXCEL

EKOEXCEL is NewGlobe's large-scale education reform programme in Lagos State, Nigeria, launched in partnership with the Lagos State Government in 2019. Operating across over 1,000 schools, the programme delivers structured, technology-enabled instruction to nearly a million pupils, with the goal of dramatically improving foundational reading and numeracy outcomes across one of Africa's most populous states.

Teachers are supported through daily scripted lessons accessed on tablets, alongside regular coaching visits from school-level supervisors. The programme uses real-time data on lesson delivery and pupil performance to drive continuous improvement, with results reviewed at state level each week to keep every school on track.
